This page summarizes TeinGo's data protection approach under the GDPR and Turkish KVKK. It does not replace the Privacy Policy; it is a readable supplement.

Document priority: The Privacy Policy controls the data inventory, rights, retention and sub-processors. The Terms of Use govern user responsibilities, and the Refund Policy governs refunds.

1. Roles

TeinGo acts as controller for account, payment, security and platform usage data.
For classroom, exam and student paper content uploaded by a teacher or institution, TeinGo processes data to provide the service according to user instructions.
The teacher or institution must provide the required notice and ensure the appropriate legal basis/permissions before uploading student data.

2. Principles

Purpose limitation	Student papers are processed only for AI-assisted preliminary evaluation and teacher review.
Data minimization	Anonymous mode and warnings against unnecessary personal data are provided.
Storage limitation	Auto-delete is available; relevant content is removed at latest when the exam or account is deleted.
Security	Access controls, secure file access, CSRF protection and link regeneration controls are used.
Human review	AI output is not the final decision; scores and feedback are checked and approved by the teacher.

3. Exam Reading Data

The exam reading flow asks for separate confirmations for legal basis/notice, AI-assisted processing and teacher review before student papers can be uploaded. See the AI Exam Reading Data Processing Notice for details.

4. Sub-processors and Transfers

Payment, e-mail, hosting and AI providers are described in the Privacy Policy's sub-processor list. Where data must be transferred outside the EU/EEA, appropriate contractual and technical safeguards are applied.

5. Rights and Requests

Users can download their data or delete their account from Settings. Student/parent requests are handled through the relevant teacher or institution; TeinGo provides reasonable support for verified institutional requests.
