The PDF tool turns lesson notes or textbook pages into starting material for new content. You can select text, clean it up, and send it into a question or flashcard flow.
Upload, select, draft
When a PDF is uploaded, the file is kept in a temporary session. The area you select on the page becomes an editable draft card.
That draft can start a multiple-choice, open-ended, fill-in-the-blanks, drag-and-drop, or flashcard flow. If you came from a quiz, the target quiz context is kept.
Digital text versus OCR
In digital PDFs, text is usually extracted directly in the browser. For image-based or scanned areas, OCR tries to read text from the image.
OCR output should always be checked by a teacher. Formulas, tables, special characters, and two-column pages often need a small edit before the result is reliable.
Use temporary sessions intentionally
PDF sessions are not permanent storage; temporary files and drafts are cleaned up when they expire. After you import selected text into a content form, the real saved record lives in that module.
Clean and shorten PDF text before sending it to AI; the questions will be better.
